The Fire Brigades of Surrey Preservation Trust (The Trust) has been a long established voluntary organisation started by a group of forward thinking individuals passionate about Surrey's fire heritage and who were all committed to ensuring that this is preserved, documented and made accessible for future generations to enjoy and learn from.
The foundation to this was obtaining it's charitable statues in 1987 and the opening of the Fire Brigade Museum; this evolved in to the collation of a unique collection with some key items of national importance saved and safeguarded.
Through the tough economical times and concurrent with the modernisation of the Fire and Rescue Service, the Trust has survived in part due to the hard work and preservence of its members but also due to the support and interest of it's visitors.
Following a recent refurbishment of the museum, the Trust is beginning a new chapter and as such we are seeking those with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enable us to move forward to future success.
Who we are looking for
You do not have to have been a serving member of the Fire and Rescue Services, just someone with the passion, commitment and time to help us improve.
